Welcome to Little Barn
Set in a quiet rural spot near Grange-over-Sands, Little Barn is a relaxed base for days beside the bay and adventures across the South Lakes.
The single-storey barn has an open-plan kitchen and living space, two comfortable bedrooms and an enclosed garden made for long lunches outside. South-facing views bring light into the barn throughout the day—and some memorable sunsets in the evening.

Little Barn is practical without losing its sense of escape: cook together, settle in for a film, or step outside and watch the weather move across the bay.

A travel cot and highchair are available. Guests simply need to bring cot bedding and their own beach towels.

Up to two well-behaved dogs can stay. Please bring sofa covers; additional cleaning may be covered by the bond.

Between bay and fell
Little Barn sits in open countryside at Allithwaite, a short journey from the characterful Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands. Cartmel, the Morecambe Bay coastline and the southern Lake District are all within easy reach.
Lingwood Park is nearby, while local pubs, village shops and memorable days out offer plenty to explore when you feel like leaving the view behind.
A familiar face has enjoyed the view, too. In August 2023, Little Barn welcomed Coronation Street actor Sam Aston and his family.

Join a seasonal guided walk across the famous sands for a completely different view of the coast.
The tides and sands are dangerous—never attempt the crossing without an appointed guide.

Wander the house and gardens at Holker Hall, or spend a few nostalgic hours at the Lakeland Motor Museum.
